Sunkissed Goldenz was established in Northwest Arkansas by Jim and Melissa Meeker, where the Sires and Dams were raised along with our two beautiful, rambunctious boys, Ryan and Trevor. We are a small family hobby breeder of English Cream Golden Retrievers as well as American Golden Retrievers! We strive for the best temperament of all of our dogs as well as beauty and meeting standards for the breed. We believe that dogs personalities can be shaped and molded for the better, so we give our puppies and puppy moms and dads the best love and attention possible with the help of our 2 boys ages 10 and 14. Believe me these puppies have been smothered with love and affection since day one! We clean and pamper our dogs and their environment every day! We are honored to be breeders of Golden Retrievers, and we are IN LOVE with these dogs! Our puppies begin using the doggy door at the age of 4 weeks and experience with different sounds and grooming/bathing. Our puppies are up to date on vaccinations and worming along with official vet exam in which the Veterinarian clears them of hernias, eye issues, and any other physical irregularities.
Our philosophy is that if you’re going to breed and raise Golden Retrievers, it’s important to do it right, and only breed the best. We have a responsibility to these gentle souls to care for their mental, physical, and emotional well – being to the utmost of our ability.
What is a Hobby Breeder?
A true hobby breeder will breed for the betterment of the breed. The dogs of a hobby breeder are hand-picked raised in the home, have health clearances, and are part of the family. The dogs are not kept in kennels 24/7. They are actively involved with their humans and have a large, clean yard and house to themselves. The puppies that come from a hobby breeder are well socialized, healthy, and adapt well when they go to their new homes.
A good hobby breeder keeps their dog’s bloodlines pure and breeds for optimal health and excellent temperament.
A good hobby breeder is the best person to get a dog from. They know their dogs and take care of their dogs. They take their responsibilities as a dog owner seriously. They love their puppies.
Hobby breeding isn’t a job. It’s a passion to make the world a better place.
